For as long as he can remember, 29-year-old Matthew Starlin has avidly watched NASCAR, and that whole time, he’s been rooting for Jeff Gordon’s No. 24 car. So, when he won tickets to a VIP meet-and-greet with Gordon at a charity raffle, Matthew couldn’t have been happier.
That is, until his hero let him take the wheel of his Chevrolet SS and drive it straight into a wall!
That’s right. The three-time Daytona 500 winner went above and beyond for one diehard fan, and not only did he let Matthew sit in the driver’s seat, but he revved up No. 24, showed Matthew how to put it in gear, and let him floor the gas to send it barreling right into the wall of his private garage at almost 40 miles per hour!
Wow!

Amazing. It’s not every star who’s willing to make a fan’s dreams come true, so whether or not you love NASCAR, you’ve got to admit that Gordon sounds like a real class act.
