While building your kid a Frozen-themed treehouse might win you viral dad-fame for a day or two, no flashy feat of parenting can ever compare to the sheer awesomeness of LA-based dad Judd Apatow, who goes above and beyond every single day to be Judd Apatow for his children.
His two daughters Maude and Iris lucked out big time with a parent who clearly has dad-ing down to a science, as not only does Judd show his girls unconditional love and support, but he also frequently goes out of his way to write, direct, and produce wildly popular comedy films—something not many dads will take the time to do. And no matter how busy Judd gets with building his entertainment empire and making millions of dollars, he never fails to find the time to delight his kids by rubbing elbows with Hollywood A-listers like Seth Rogen and Kristen Wiig, which is pretty much the pinnacle of dad goals.
There are plenty of dads who will go to great lengths to make their kids happy, but aside from Judd Apatow, it’s hard to think of any others who will put in so much hard work and dedication to be the Judd Apatow. And because of his tireless efforts, his daughters get to wake up every day and watch him do awesome dad stuff like creating the Netflix original series Love and recording a stand-up special at Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival. Plus, for what it’s worth, he’s got a pretty nice dad bod—although sorry, ladies, he’s happily married to movie star Leslie Mann (uh, how frickin’ awesome is that?!?).
Damn. As far as being a dad goes, Judd Apatow has set the bar pretty high, and we honestly pity any other dads who endeavor to reach a similar level of awesomeness. You’re probably better off just sitting back and marveling as Judd gives us a master class in parenting day in and day out.
